Across the country, young adult ministries have embraced Theology on Tap, a popular event format that brings people together over food and drinks for meaningful conversations about the Catholic faith in a relaxed setting.
Now, Los Angeles' Black Catholic community is getting its own Theology on Tap gathering.
Blessed Sacrament Hollywood's Black Catholic Ministry will host its first-ever Theology on Tap event, "Good Spirits: Black Catholic Conversations," on Sunday, August 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Los Angeles.
Along with food, drinks, and fellowship, attendees will hear an interactive reflection from local Black Catholic leader William S. King. Drawing on the parable of the Prodigal Son, King will explore what the Gospel story reveals about our lives today. Whether you've heard the passage countless times or are encountering it with fresh eyes, the conversation promises to be thoughtful, engaging, and welcoming.
