Meet the Panelists:
Nate Tinner-Williams is the co-founder and former editor of Black Catholic Messenger, which he led for nearly six years. An award-winning writer, commentator, and speaker, Nate has emerged as one of the leading voices championing greater Black representation in Catholic media. Through his journalism and advocacy, he brings invaluable insight into building Black Catholic institutions, amplifying Black Catholic voices, and shaping the future of Catholic media.
Fr Josh Johnson is a priest of the Diocese of Baton Rouge, a nationally recognized Catholic speaker, and a host and presenter with Ascension Press, where he will soon launch his newest daily podcast, “The Bible in a Year: Family Edition.” Through his ministry in Baton Rouge—particularly within the Black community—and his national media presence, he has helped thousands of Catholics deepen their faith. He brings extensive experience in evangelization, catechesis, and vocational discernment.
Sr Josephine Garrett, CSFN, is a Sister of the Holy Family of Nazareth, a licensed counselor, host of the “Hope Stories” podcast, and a Catholic speaker and author. Through her ministry in Catholic schools and her presentations at conferences for youth and young adults, she has inspired audiences across the country with her message of hope, healing, evangelization, and faith formation. She brings a unique perspective shaped by her experience in counseling, education, and ministry.
Schola Eburuoh is a former co-host for CatholicTV, content creator, entrepreneur, and real estate professional. Through her reporting on the local Catholic community in Boston and her digital storytelling as a Nigerian-American Catholic, Schola brings insight into on-the-ground Catholic journalism and the importance of representing the full diversity of Black Catholic voices and experiences.
