Where to find a Black bishop this Easter weekend (2022 edition)

A listing of Easter Masses around the Unites States featuring Black bishops.

"The Empty Tomb" (Vie de Jesus Mafa)

On this, the most holy weekend of the year, Catholics around the world will celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, beginning tonight with the Easter Vigil Mass. Following two years of restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2022 brings a celebration of the feast in a way more familiar to the faithful.

In addition, a flurry of new appointments within the US Catholic episcopacy over the past year has brought a refreshed crop of Black bishops. The total now stands at 14, including those active and retired. Below you will find Masses where they are expected to preside and/or preach in their respective dioceses this weekend.
