Poem: 'LIFE' by Dorothy Dempsey

Every day is a new day in our lives.

When we go to bed, and night folds its quiet over us.

And as we drift into sleep

On a lazy afternoon.

We never know when our life will end.

What we do know is that there is a God.

And that He is the only one,

that knows the timeline of our demise.

When you think about life, and its many pitfalls.

You must take the time to wonder about all the what ifs?

Did I show kindness in a time of need?

Did I take care of the sick and wounded?

Did I love and share my love with others?

And the biggest what if;

Did I ask God for His forgiveness.

All of this stacked into one lifetime.

And you don’t even know how much of a lifetime.

The life that you live is the answer to all the what ifs.

Only God knows how much of a life you will live.

Surrender to your life.

And take every day and treasure it.

Life is always worth living.

You just have to decide how you want to live it.
